Joseph Albert Wyner, 77, of Cloquet, MN, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Augustana Mercy Health Care Center in Moose Lake, MN.
Joseph was born November 23, 1939 to Raymond and Hazel (Nelson) Wiener in Cloquet, MN, where he was raised and spent his entire life. He worked at the Potlatch Corporation as a machine tender for 43 years and was a member of the Potlatch Quarter Century Club. Joseph was also a Cub Scout leader and loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include Joseph’s wife, Violet; step-children, Vicki (Matt) Reynolds, Dean (Lynn) Reynolds, and Jeff (Tabitha) Reynolds; 14 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great grandchildren; siblings, Armella (Lyle) Johnston, Richard (Teri) Johnston, Jennifer Johnston, Lyle (Patricia) Johnston, Nancy Brooks, and Erin Johnston.
Preceding Joseph in death were his parents; a nephew, Tom Johnston; and a brother, Bud Wyner.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Cloquet on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a time of remembrance at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are being handled by Souder-Handevidt Funeral & Cremation Service (www.handevidtfh.com). Joseph’s family extends a special thank you to the Augustana Special Care Unit in Moose Lake.
