Carolyn Ann Daigle

October 27, 1947 ~ February 28, 2018 (age 70)

Carolyn Ann Daigle, 70, of Duluth, MN, died February 28, 2018 at her home in Duluth, Minnesota.

Carolyn was born October 27, 1947 in Milbank, SD, to Walter and Geraldine (Holmquist) Mueller.

She was an animal lover and owned many pets throughout the years.  Her cat, Smokie, stayed by her side for the last ten years, right to the end.  They didn’t particularly enjoy each other, but they were content in their relationship.  She was especially fond of birds.  At one point, her successful breeding led to more than 100 birds at one time.  She loved to read and even though her guilty pleasure was a thick Harlequin Romance Novel, her favorite book was the Bible.  Her knowledge of the Bible was most impressive, and she loved to share her knowledge to others.  And boy did she love a good snowstorm.  She would call all of us kids outside in the middle of the night to build a snow angel and was often seen trudging the streets during any major storm.

She is survived by her children; Gerri Roybal, Clifton (Bo) Johnson, Dale Johnson, Tracy Johnson, Kristine Johnson, Jason Johnson; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis Mueller, Hjalmer (Jimmer) Halvorson, Michael Halvorson; sisters, Sharyn Anderson, Arlys Schiesser, Julie Macziewski, Lorrie Laumann, Debra Gartner, Lynda Ruschen; sister-in-law, Diana Mueller; several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Allan Mueller, Darwin (Dumpy) Mueller, Roger Mueller, and twins, Danny Jay Mueller and Randy Ray Mueller.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Duluth.  Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth.  Memorials are preferred to Kristine Johnson in efforts to assist in Kristine’s transition.  Arrangements are with Souder-Handevidt Cremation and Funeral Services (www.handevidtfh.com).
